- £740, or £840 for a late application, paid in two parts: when you apply and after approval. The council doesn't publish the split. You can take £75 off for each of up to two discounts (£150 at most): an accredited landlord or agent (ihowz, NRLA or Safeagent, or Propertymark for an agent holding the licence), an EPC of C or above, or a registered charity landlord. In a building with several flats, each flat after the first is £50 less.

- Privately rented homes in the named wards, whether let to one person, a couple or a family, and single-storey homes shared by three or four unrelated people that fall outside HMO licensing. Exempt: homes licensed as HMOs, social landlord lets, and the kinds of letting exempt nationally.
