Every privately rented home in Loughborough's Hastings and Lemyngton wards as they were before the May 2023 ward changes, let to one person, one household or two people who aren't related. Shared houses with three or more people need an HMO licence instead, as Charnwood licenses those borough-wide. Exempt: homes with an HMO licence, homes let by a housing association or other registered provider, homes managed by the council, police, fire service or NHS, student halls run by a college or university, holiday lets, an owner's home with up to two lodgers, homes let to the owner's family, and homes under a management order or with a temporary exemption. This checker reflects HouseFile’s records of council licensing designations, not the councils’ live registers. Our records indicate the position at the verification date shown on each result. Schemes are designated, renewed and revoked throughout the year, and postcode-level lookups are approximate near scheme boundaries. Always confirm with the council before letting or buying a property, using the source link on each card. This is general information, not legal advice.

If you hold a licence here, HouseFile can track its renewal date

Keep the licence with the rest of the property's certificates, and HouseFile will remind you before each one is due. It also records when your tenants open the documents you share.
