- A new licence cost £1,900: a £1,400 administration fee paid on applying, then a £500 inspection fee. A renewal cost £1,343.80 (£843.80 and £500), or £1,900 with a material change. A flat in a converted block (a section 257 HMO) cost £393 (£293 and £100), or £278 to renew (£178 and £100).
